YouTube Super Chats stay in chat — they do not overlap your stream video. Only other OBS alert tools may overlap bottom-right.
How fees work
Platform fee is 4% standard · 10% live (recipient-side). All-in estimate with payment processing is about 8.0%–14.0% (domestic cards, JPY).
Example: ¥500 standard tip → sender pays ¥500 → recipient keeps roughly ¥460. While Live mode is ON, all tips use 10% PF — all-in estimate about 14.0% (varies by payment method).

“All-in fee” includes platform and card processing estimates. Domestic QR 13.6% is each provider’s published rate including processing. Rukayu and Buy Me a Coffee “you receive” amounts are also after processing. tips.tips adds fees on the sender’s side, so the recipient amount stays nominal.

Refer a peer and earn 1% forever
Recipients can refer other recipients. You earn 1% of the gross tips your referrals receive — permanently.

- 1% from their tips is paid to you automatically
Your referrals pay the same fees as everyone else. Rewards come from the platform fee (4% / 10% live) breakdown.
Example: if your referral receives ¥100,000 in tips per month, you earn ¥1,000/month in referral rewards
You must complete payout setup (Stripe Connect) to receive rewards. Self-referrals are not allowed.
Recipient flow

- Complete Stripe payout setup (you can do this later, but tips cannot be processed until completed)
- After setup, tips appear in your dashboard and are paid out automatically
Frequently asked questions
- Do senders need to register?
- No. They just open a recipient QR code or link, choose an amount, and complete payment.
- Who pays the fees?
- Senders pay the displayed amount without add-ons. Platform and payment processing fees are deducted from the recipient side.
- What is the minimum tip amount?
- In JPY, tips are ¥50–¥30,000 per tip. Senders can choose preset or custom amounts.
- Can I request a refund?
- Because tips are voluntary support, refunds and cancellations are generally not available. Fraudulent transactions are reviewed case by case. Please check the Terms.
- Can I set up payouts later?
- Yes. You can start by preparing your profile and QR links. However, tip payments cannot be accepted until payout setup is complete.
- Can people use it from overseas?
- Yes. Rukayu supports 30 regions & currencies and 12 languages. Fee estimates and payment methods vary by country and currency.
- Can I use it for live streams?
- Yes. Turn on Live mode and add the OBS overlay URL. Tips appear on stream in real time with amount and message, tiered colors by amount, and optional alert sound. Works with any OBS-based stream (YouTube, Twitch, etc.).
- Is there a referral program?
- Yes. When recipients refer other recipients, they earn 1% of referred users' gross tips permanently. Attribution works only via signup links (?ref=), and referred users pay the same fees. See the Terms for details.
